38 weeks and still counting!

So i am 38 weeks pregnant. Boy i can't wait to get to the end.

I had an absolutely amazing baby shower, thrown for me by an amazing friend. It was a great turn out and even silly Clayton had a good time! I am pretty sure i can officially say i have everything i need. At least i think i do. We will soon find out!

I finally had some maternity pictures done! I am still waiting on some a friend took, and the ones below the same person who threw me my baby shower took them! And i do believe they came out fantastic!

I have one more ultrasound to see the babies growth, and i will let you know how that turns out!

What are we having again?

So we had another ultrasound today to get a few images they couldn't get during the first ultrasound. Silly baby moves so much.

But today they said they could not guarantee what gender baby we are having. Unfortunately it looked like it could have been a girl as well as a boy, and it is hard to tell because the umbilical cord was laying right were they needed to look. The ultrasound tech even had to call in someone to help. They said chances are we are having a boy, but they wont say for sure.

But we do have more pictures!

This last picture is hard to tell, but it is above the baby looking down, and its his hand.

Nesting is supposed to happen when?

So my hubby and I are on a kick, we are trying to get the baby's room situated as fast as we can. I guess nesting can kick in for men too! We got a dresser/storage cube organizer and wall decals for decoration! And we had a glide rocker(I hope to replace soon), and a cedar chest i am using as a toy box (which we have to install safety hinges on and repaint because its UGLY)!

So here are two of the walls! The other wall will have a fabric picture or something or another that my mother in law is going to make! (The other wall has a door and window, so no decorating there!)

This is what we are using for a dresser for the first few years! And heck, we might get another when the baby is older and use them for EVERYTHING! Like, why didn't they have these (or rather why didn't I?) when i was growing up, i would have SO rather had this than a dresser!

These are some cloth diapers i picked up to see what a specific brand was like, and they are freaking adorable! I have more on the way in new born size!

Random candid baby shot? I couldn't help but laugh that my belly is officially big enough not to have to hold the onesie up! This is somewhere between 21 and 22 weeks! I need to get real pictures done sometime!

21 weeks and counting!

I guess i am going to be a granola mom? At least that is what i heard it called. I plan on strictly breastfeeding, as well as cloth diapering, and i might even go as far as to use cloth wipes. It will be much cheaper, and so much better for the environment!

I think i finally picked out a type of diaper that will work for me, and is cheaper than dirt compared to some brands! Now to wait for the 3 diapers i ordered to get here so i can reaffirm that theory! I had some wonderful moms on a group on facebook suggest them to me.

Now the conundrum! I want to do a Super Mario theme room for the baby! But the most i can really do are wall decals. WHICH i am getting, i don't care if they match bedding or not! These are the stickers my husband and i picked out! They will be adorable set up in the room! Maybe i can have someone make a Super Mario crib set so we can try and match! And i guess my secondary theme will be jungle? It will be so much easier to get jungle themed baby stuff.

So i had a great friend step up to host my baby shower, with help from her mother! They are amazing people, and i can't thank them enough! It is such a load off me.

21 weeks and counting!

It's a BOY!!!

So we had our ultrasound yesterday! And we will happy be adding a wonderful baby boy to our family! His name will be Clayton Andrew, just like his father! (And it's a really nice name too!)

It was so amazing, I sat there for an hour and saw my baby move around. At one point he even waved (at least that is my story, and i am sticking to it!). It took the poor ultra sound technician almost 45 minutes to even determine the gender because the baby would NOT stop moving! He is a wiggler alright! The tech went from thinking it was a boy to a girl, and then back like 5 times! But when she finally figured it out she screamed "It's a penis!". And i have another ultrasound in a few weeks, because he wouldn't stop moving enough for the tech to get every picture we need! But that's not a problem for me! I will gladly go see him again!

This is an image of the babies face!

My poor husband didn't know what to do! He had to just sit there for an hour! I mean he was happy and amazed, but he is a wiggler too! So not only did we have to contend with a wiggling baby, but a wiggling father!

18 weeks of updates!

So i decided to create a blog for friends and family to follow, as well as so our child will have something to look at in the future, i know i would have loved it!! Well i am currently 18 weeks along! Wow, its so amazing! I find out the babies gender hopefully on the 17th!

My husband and i conceived probably the very first time we tried, and thank goodness it was planned =o) I knew i was pregnant within the first 2-3 weeks! It was wonderful, and at a family Halloween party i told my Mother-In-Law, and was she thrilled! And shortly there after, we had an appointment and confirmed i was really pregnant and not dreaming.

So far, my husband has been a trooper, because god knows, i was a pain right in his butt. With my mood swings, and awful cravings of crappy Chinese buffet. I was practically sleeping 12-14 hours a day during my first trimester. No one ever warns you that it sucks literally every ounce of energy out of you to make a baby! I read somewhere that what a woman's body is going through while pregnant is equivalent of someone running a marathon every single day! And don't let me forget the complaining and crying. You never know how you are going to react to the news, whether its planned or not! I was so happy, but so very nervous, there were nights when he had to hold me until 4 in the morning just so i would (try) to stop crying.

Don't let me forget, i plan on doing the nursery in Super Mario theme! Awesome right? If its a girl, i just will find a ton of Princess Peach stuff to mix in! Anyone have any painting/furniture/decorating ideas, please let me know!

I will definitely be trying to get some maternity pictures soon!
